MEDWAY — Superintendent Armand Pires is pleased to announce that Medway Public Schools participated in Deloitte Impact Day last month.
District staff and Deloitte employees worked together on renovation projects in the Medway Middle School library. The projects included:
- moving shelving from the high school to the middle school;
- emptying, moving and restocking book shelves in the library;
- disassembling and removing the old circulation desk, tables, chairs and desks from the library; and
- painting.
Impact Day is Deloitte’s annual day of service that celebrates a year-round commitment to collectively making an impact that matters in communities, and exemplifies the strength and value of coming together to build connections. Deloitte leaders and professionals engage in more than 1,000 in-person and virtual volunteer opportunities across the country on Impact Day.
Deloitte employees were assisted by Director of Facilities Mike Grennon, Librarian Tina Stoval, Library Paraprofessional Sally Reynolds, maintenance staff members Mike Bradford and Larry Erving, and Director of Finance and Operations Pat Leonhardt. This is the first year Medway Public Schools has participated in Deloitte’s Impact Day.
“Impact Day was a successful day that saw our staff come together and engage with members of the community, and we were pleased to participate in the initiative for the first time this year,” said Superintendent Pires. “We thank all of the Deloitte employees and district staff who gave their time and contributed to the library renovation project.”
