MHS Ranked 24th Best High School in State, 666th Best in U.S.
MEDWAY –Superintendent Armand Pires and Principal John Murray are pleased to share that Medway High School has been recognized with two separate honors recently for its curriculum, programming and student success.
The school was ranked as the 24th best high school in Massachusetts by the U.S. News and World Report and has also been chosen to receive a GreatSchools 2019 College Success Award.
“It’s wonderful to see that our school has been recognized by these organizations for our work to prepare students for bright, successful, fulfilling futures,” Principal Murray said.
The U.S. News and World Report takes several factors into account when ranking schools in its annual statewide and national lists, including college readiness, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, undeserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rate.
GreatSchools, a nonprofit that rates and evaluates schools, gives its College Success Award to recognize public high schools that are proven to have exemplary programming to prepare students to pursue careers, internships and higher education after graduation.
“It’s an honor to be ranked so well among high schools throughout the state, and be recognized for our efforts in preparing our students for college and careers,” Superintendent Pires. “I think this recognition by these organizations speaks to our efforts to support our students and provide them with the skills and tools they need for success after graduation.”
